The Kate Design 3-Tier Buttercream Wedding Cake

Buttercream wedding cakes are still a very popular option for Metro Tagaytay weddings, particularly for couples who have an outdoor or garden setting, or for those going for a variety of a rustic or vintage theme.

We’d like to direct your attention to this lovely set of shots taken by the good people over at Mike & Mai Photography, from a wedding of one of our clients from last year, featuring our very own Kate Design 3-tier buttercream wedding cake.

Styling was done by the very capable team of K by Cunanan.  Pay close attention to how they put together that beautiful cake spread with design elements in wood, glass and metal, with little candles and fresh flowers as accent-pieces.

Candy floral work is in two shades of pink.  Our couple asked us to come up with a special cake topper for their wedding cake– a couple of wooden hearts with their initials on one, and their wedding date on another.

This buttercream wedding cake design has sinamay (a local kind of burlap) wrapped around the base of each cake tier, with another set of the couple’s initials attached to the bottom-most tier.

Balai Taal in Tagaytay City

Whether as a wedding venue or as a vacation home rental, Balai Taal is a popular choice, and you can see why moments upon entering the compound, which is located along Ligaya Drive in Tagaytay City.

The view, first of all, is spectacular. You can take in the scenery on your way to where the houses and gardens are. There are four or five three-storey houses which are being rented out, each one having five more-than-adequate bedrooms, a fully-equipped and functional kitchen, living room and dining area.

The gardens are just as well-maintained. We’ve been told that they hired the same landscaping team as Antonio’s Restaurant in Tagaytay, as well as Fernwoods in Quezon City. These gardens are frequently rented out as wedding reception venues, and we’ve had many clients who have had their weddings here.
