A dessert station is an incredibly popular option these days for Tagaytay weddings. Instead of going for a larger wedding cake, a lot of soon-to-weds go for more impressive spreads, by means of cupcakes, cookies, candy, and other baked goodies and sweet treats arranged nicely around the main wedding cake.
Here are several pegs for dessert stations you might want to draw inspiration from for your very own rustic-themed wedding in Tagaytay.

Rustic Weddings in Tagaytay
So what exactly makes a rustic wedding rustic in the first place?
The Sofia’s Cakes team set up a candy station for Gette and Nikko’s engagement-and-birthday party a few weeks back. We were there to set up a their cake, as well as their sweets and treats. But what really got us tickled pink were the lootbags our hosts have prepared for their guests:
The Sofia’s Cakes team was at Morielli’s Inn & Diner in Tagaytay yesterday for a very special celebration. Baby Roma Angelicah’s parents wanted to have a party in Tagaytay, so we helped put together a custom cake-cupcake-and-candy station just for the occasion.
Here at Sofia’s Cakes Tagaytay-Amadeo Road, in addition to custom wedding cakes for all sorts of Tagaytay weddings, we also put together personalized candy stations and dessert stations for our soon-to-wed clients.
Candy stations are extremely popular these days, not just for weddings, but for pretty much any sort of celebration or themed party. While we’re on the subject of weddings though, we thought we’d share some candy station photos we’ve found online. These in particular have the wedding cake as part of the candy station.
This candy station was for a 50th wedding anniversary, put together by the awesome people over at the Kentucky Candy Buffet Co. Note the gold-colored fabrics, and the mix of gold-and-white treats. A 3-tier fondant cake with a gold “50” adorning the top forms the center of the entire spread. Continue reading More Candy Station Inspiration With Wedding Cakes→
Candy stations and dessert stations are all the rage, not just with Tagaytay weddings, but pretty much for weddings everywhere.
Just like a wedding cake, a candy station gives you the opportunity to go all-out, adding a whole new level of fun and festivity to your wedding reception. So if you’re seriously thinking of getting one for your big day (hey, you totally should!), here are a few considerations you’ll want to address putting together your very own personalized candy station.
What’s Your Candy Station For?
You might not realize it, but your candy station does serve a variety of purposes. One of the first things you need to figure out is: what is your custom candy station really for?
Do you want it as part of your centerpiece, together with your wedding cake?
Is it a standalone piece meant to highlight your wedding motif or theme?
Do you want your guests to take candy at any time during the evening? Or specifically visit the candy station at the end of your wedding reception?
Everything from the selection of treats, the props and signages that will be used, as well as the table styling will depend on the main purpose of your candy station.
How Many Guests Are You Expecting?
Simply put, you’ll want everyone to have some candy. Pricing for candy stations depend on the number of guests you have at your event– whether it’s a wedding, a shower, or a themed party. As such, you’ll want to make sure you have enough treats and bags, as well as accompanying containers, dishes, styling elements, and even attendants to cover your expected headcount.
Deciding On The Look
You probably already have a theme, motif or color palette for your big day. Bear in mind that your candy station or dessert station should be able to adhere to your chosen look. Along with your selection of containers, jars, trays and dispensers, you’ll want to play around with different color fabrics, flowers in season, and a variety of other props and pieces to make your candy station picture-perfect and as elegant, as whimsical, or as colorful as you want it to be!
Pick Your Treats!
Now that you know what sort of look you’ll be going for, and how many guests you’re expecting, you can now decide on what sort of treats you want on your custom candy station. Note that you’re not limited to just candy (with colors also according to your chosen color palette). Depending on the package you get, you can also have:
Cakes. Not necessarily your wedding cake (or birthday cake), but an accompanying set of cakes to help reinforce your theme, as you may have your cakes designed according to your chosen color palette and/or motif.
Cupcakes. Just like cakes, only more convenient, as guests can simply pick one to eat at the venue, or bring home (if you have packaging handy). You can have cupcake liners according to theme, and even custom printouts, or even custom candy toppers adorning the top.
Baked goodies like brownies, cookies, lemon bars, food for the gods, or other easy-to-pick-up-and-eat items for your guests.
Flavored popcorn. A great way to play up your color palette! Don’t forget to have little cups or bags available for easy handling!
Chocolate bars. Wrapping can be customized to have little “Thank You” messages, favorite quotes, or just about any design you want printed.
Little Bags and Tags
Don’t forget the little details! Have little custom labels or signages for each of your treats (so your guests know what they’re helping themselves to), as well as bags or cups so they can easily take their candy and treats with them. Note that you can customize your bags to have your names on it, maybe a little message, as well as your date.
