A dessert station is an incredibly popular option these days for Tagaytay weddings. Instead of going for a larger wedding cake, a lot of soon-to-weds go for more impressive spreads, by means of cupcakes, cookies, candy, and other baked goodies and sweet treats arranged nicely around the main wedding cake.
Here are several pegs for dessert stations you might want to draw inspiration from for your very own rustic-themed wedding in Tagaytay.

If you really want to make a statement with your wedding cake, you have a couple of options: you can go for a large wedding cake, or you can go for a styled cake table.
In this post, we’ll be talking more about how a styled cake table works for your big day, and we’ll be showing you some styled cake table inspirations we’ve found online.

Using your main wedding cake (or celebration cake) as the centerpiece, a styled cake table plays up on your theme, motif or color palette by having a variety of other smaller– but similarly-styled– cakes, satellite cakes, mini-cakes and cupcakes, with some props, flowers, custom signages and other design elements to form a picture-perfect cake spread for your wedding reception. A wedding cake is a big part of every wedding celebration. While you can see all kinds of themes in Filipino weddings– even Tagaytay weddings– you’ll still have a wedding cake right there up front and center for all to see.
Wedding cakes are symbols of prosperity, abundance and happiness, and a lot of our traditions, from slicing the cake, to sharing that first slice, to storing/freezing the topmost tier (for your first anniversary), are all tied into that rich symbolism.
Wedding Cake Spreads
Now, we’ve been seeing more wedding cake spreads— wedding cakes with the addition of other components styled according to the couple’s theme or motif. These can include additional satellite cakes or cupcake towers, candy-and-dessert stations, and styled cake tables with all sorts of treats as wedding giveaways and souvenirs.
These wedding cake spreads are arranged nicely as a showcase piece, right up there in front, alongside the couple, for all to see during the wedding reception program. You’ll typically have your main wedding cake at the center, flanked by a few other, smaller cakes (with the same design/appearance), or an assortment of cupcakes, sweet treats, and giveaways spread out among flowers and other design elements according to theme.

Here at Sofia’s Cakes Tagaytay-Amadeo Road, in addition to custom wedding cakes for all sorts of Tagaytay weddings, we also put together personalized candy stations and dessert stations for our soon-to-wed clients.
Candy stations are extremely popular these days, not just for weddings, but for pretty much any sort of celebration or themed party. While we’re on the subject of weddings though, we thought we’d share some candy station photos we’ve found online. These in particular have the wedding cake as part of the candy station.
This candy station was for a 50th wedding anniversary, put together by the awesome people over at the Kentucky Candy Buffet Co. Note the gold-colored fabrics, and the mix of gold-and-white treats. A 3-tier fondant cake with a gold “50” adorning the top forms the center of the entire spread. Continue reading More Candy Station Inspiration With Wedding Cakes
We were approached by the good people over at Bali Village Hotel here in Tagaytay to create a custom wedding cake for one of their clients. The design was fairly simple and straightforward, but classy– and it called for a lamp to be built into the cake.
Here’s pretty much how it turned out:
