Raymond and Mhe-Anne’s Wedding Cupcakes and Cake Topper

A collage of images by Raymond and Mhe-anne, from their Tagaytay wedding.

Sofia’s Cakes was commissioned by Raymond and Mhe-Anne to put together a custom cake topper for them, as well as some wedding cupcakes for their big day at Estancia Hotel, in Tagaytay City.

We’re also thrilled to have been mentioned on Mhe-anne’s blog! Excerpts below:

We were thrilled to know that Sofia’s Cakes, our wedding supplier for our cupcakes also does personalized wedding figurines. Continue reading “Raymond and Mhe-Anne’s Wedding Cupcakes and Cake Topper”

Colin & Carmela’s Cycling-Themed Cake

Actual Tagaytay wedding cake setups and testimonials from Sofia’s Cakes Tagaytay-Amadeo Road clients!

We thought we’d feature some of our clients’ wedding cake setups, as well as all the nice things they say about our cakes and cupcakes.

From Carmela’s blog:

“Colin and I went around Metro Manila to find the right cake and cupcake supplier who was willing to work with our limited budget. While a lot of those vendors delivered excellently, I would usually be turned off with the exorbitant costs of delivery, out-of-town fees, and rental fee for the cake stand.

All these were solved when I discovered Sofia’s Cakes along Amadeo road in Tagaytay City. The first time we sat with the owner, Renzie Baluyut, we immediately liked how well he communicated and listened to our needs. He even went out of his way of giving us cake samples when we met up with him at The Fort for food tasting. We immediately fell in love with their chocolate cake and cupcakes. They were moist and rich in flavor. What’s even better is that they only charge a delivery fee of 200 pesos and no extra charging for the rent of the cake stand. Renzie listened to what we wanted and delivered our customized “cycling-themed” cake without compromising the quality of the cake itself. Some of our guests even had 3 servings!

Sofia’s Cakes might not be in the A-list of cakes and cupcakes in the country yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they get there soon enough. =)”

From the management and staff of Sofia’s Cakes Tagaytay-Amadeo Road, we thank you so much for all those kind words, Carmela!  We’re glad to have been a part of your big day!

You know what we’d also love to do?  We’d like to use this post to kick off a series of blog posts featuring real Tagaytay weddings from our very own newlywed clients.  Those should be coming up real soon!

We’re A Very Busy Bakeshop

Tagaytay Wedding Cakes by Sofia's Cakes Tagaytay-Amadeo Road.First of all, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers, clients and business partners for supporting us all this time: big thanks all around!

We haven’t been around that long (we’re only about to round out our second year of operation as of this post), but we’re truly fortunate to have earned your trust– be it for a wedding, a birthday, an anniversary, or even simple get-togethers with family and friends.

The cake orders just keep coming in, and of course, we do our best to accommodate each and every single request we get in the course of our operations.  True, we have a two-week minimum lead time for all our custom cakes, but if we can squeeze in a cake order with the other projects we have lined up for that particular weekend, we’d only be glad to do so.

Nevertheless, we’ve always encouraged our clients to place their cake orders way ahead of time, as we’d like to dedicate just the right amount of time and effort into putting together any of our cake creations.

This is the case more so during peak seasons– November/December until the end of summer for wedding cakes– and even during off-peak seasons, weekends are still particularly busy (no surprise there, as most parties, events and wedding receptions in Tagaytay happen on Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays).

Note that we have, in the past, turned down certain last-minute job orders, when we know we just couldn’t handle any more deliveries (the December holiday season has always been hectic for us!).  We really hate turning away business like that, but we do have an obligation to deliver the highest level of quality of products and services possible for our clients who have already booked us in advance.

Busy is a good thing, especially so for a small business such as ours here at Sofia’s Cakes Tagaytay-Amadeo Road.  Rest assured we’re committed to making your experience with us as easy, as hassle-free, and as pleasant as we are able to manage.

Thank you for your continuing support!
